The United Arab Emirates reaffirmed its policy principles on the Palestinian cause during its speech at the Extraordinary Arab Summit of the Council of the League of Arab States on the Palestinian Cause, held in Cairo on March 4, 2025. The UAE stressed that this exceptional summit is meeting at a critical juncture in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which requires responsible approaches, bold positions and decisive resolutions to address the complex issues that threaten the Palestinian cause and regional stability. It stressed the need for a different course that prioritizes political and peaceful solutions over confrontation and destruction, reported by Emirates 24|7.
The UAE called for maximum restraint and wisdom to prevent further escalation, especially in light of the events in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories since October 7, 2023, and despite the ceasefire agreement reached on January 15, 2025, thanks to the significant efforts of Egypt, Qatar and the United States. Reiterating its condemnation of the ongoing violence and illegal actions by Israel in the occupied West Bank, the UAE condemned these acts, as well as all provocative statements and measures directed against the Palestinians, including the unacceptable remarks by the Israeli Prime Minister regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state on the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
UAE Efforts to Rebuild Gaza
The UAE strongly rejected Israel’s actions, which constitute flagrant violations of international law and the UN Charter, calling on the international community to assume its responsibility to end Israel’s ongoing violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. The UAE also reaffirmed its categorical rejection of all attempts to forcibly evict Palestinians from their lands, deeming such actions unacceptable, unworkable and a gross violation of international law. It warned that these efforts threaten the stability and sovereignty of Egypt and Jordan, inflame tensions between Arab and Muslim communities, and contribute to further instability in the region.
The UAE stressed that recent months, marked by unprecedented death and destruction in Gaza, have demonstrated the failure of temporary solutions. It stressed that a return to the conditions that existed before October 7, 2023, is neither viable nor acceptable. It is therefore important to advance a process that will provide a responsible and sustainable solution not only to the future of Gaza, but also to the broader Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This must include a clear political horizon based on a two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living in security and peace alongside Israel. The UAE stressed that efforts to stabilize and rebuild Gaza cannot continue without a political solution. It rejected the displacement of Gazans and insisted that the territory should not be left without a legitimate, competent and accountable Palestinian national authority capable of upholding security, stability and the rule of law.

The UAE will continue to work with international partners
In this context, the UAE sees the importance of mobilizing Arab, regional and international efforts on this path and ensuring active participation in its achievement, including with the United States, to establish a lasting solution that will ensure stability and prosperity for the region and fulfill the aspirations of the Palestinian people. The UAE reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and enhancing diplomatic efforts to alleviate their suffering. He noted that his initiatives are consistent with the country’s long-standing foreign policy principles, which prioritize peace, justice and protecting the rights of the Palestinians.
The UAE pledged to continue to work closely with regional and international partners to support peace and coexistence by promoting long-term political solutions to the conflicts in the region through dialogue and mutual understanding. The UAE will make every effort to continue providing humanitarian and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. Operation Knighthood 3 is ongoing and will continue to deliver life-saving supplies to Gaza by land, sea and air. This reaffirms the UAE’s core foreign policy approach of promoting stability, fostering prosperity and prioritizing humanitarian assistance. both regionally and internationally.” Concluding its address, the UAE expressed its hope that the summit would lead to a unified Arab consensus on joint action to overcome current challenges and realize the aspirations of the peoples of the region for security, stability and prosperity.
