Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, the Acting Director General of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce, announced that by 2025, the number of steel and metal manufacturing facilities in Ajman is set to reach 190, reflecting a 28% increase in new factory memberships. Additionally, there are currently 745 memberships related to the sector within the Ajman Chamber, showcasing an annual growth rate of roughly 5%.
This announcement was made during the launch of the “Bahrain Metal Industries” factory in Ajman, which marked its first commercial export shipment to the Gulf region. The event was attended by Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Government Communication at the chamber, Dr. Adel Al Bahrimi, founder and CEO of the factory, along with several other officials from the factory.
Al Janahi emphasized that the steel and metal industry is crucial for supporting industrial and economic development in the emirate, enhancing supply chains and meeting the demands of the construction and infrastructure sectors. He also noted that the manufacturers are relying on the latest eco-friendly industrial technologies and adhering to best practices to boost sustainability and productivity.
Dr. Adel Al Bahrimi further elaborated that the factory’s product range includes reinforcing bars, alloys, and pipes. The factory’s strategy focuses on enhancing local production capabilities, establishing strategic partnerships, and improving operational processes through advanced technology. Moreover, there are plans to set up regional distribution centers to expand the reach of their products and enhance competitiveness in both regional and global markets.
