They introduced ambitious plans to revitalize domestic tourism by launching innovative promotional packages and exclusive hotel offers targeting residents and visitors during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
This discussion took place during a regular meeting held by the Hotel Sector Working Group at the Sharjah Chamber’s headquarters, attended by Fadi Musharrafiya, the group’s chairman, committee members, and officials from the chamber’s sectoral working groups. The attendees explored strategies to enhance hotel services and bolster the emirate’s appeal as a preferred family and tourist destination.
The meeting highlighted growth opportunities observed in the tourism sector in Sharjah, supported by positive indicators recorded for 2025, revealing a 38% increase in tourism activity.
Moreover, the emirate’s hotels experienced significant guest influx during Ramadan, particularly due to the diverse iftar and suhoor offerings provided by the hospitality establishments, which helped stimulate tourism and trade and foster a distinctive Ramadan atmosphere, paving the way for an active tourism season during the holiday.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized that supporting the tourism and hospitality sector is central to the comprehensive economic vision of the emirate, guided by wise leadership aiming to establish Sharjah as a leading cultural and tourist destination both regionally and internationally.
They noted that the tourism sector is a vital contributor to sustainable economic growth and the creation of new opportunities for investment and entrepreneurship. The chamber reiterated its commitment to supporting the hotel sector through initiatives and practical solutions that enhance its competitiveness, leveraging the flexible investment environment and legislative facilitation provided by the emirate.

Fadi Musharrafiya remarked that the hotel sector in Sharjah witnessed a significant revival during the Ramadan season, reflecting a growing confidence in the local tourism market.
He pointed out that this momentum presents an opportunity to boost performance during the Eid al-Fitr holiday by launching attractive promotional offers and accommodation packages for residents and visitors.
Furthermore, he mentioned that hospitality establishments are collaborating with the Sharjah Chamber to offer a variety of experiences, including family stay packages and environmental and heritage tourism experiences unique to the emirate, aiming to increase occupancy rates and broaden visitor demographics.
