British retailer Primark, known for its affordable clothing, has confirmed that it will proceed with the opening of its first store in Dubai on Thursday, despite current circumstances.
The shop will be located in The Dubai Mall and is a collaboration between Primark, which is owned by Associated British Foods listed on the London Stock Exchange, and its franchise partner, Majid Al Futtaim.
Primark and Majid Al Futtaim have plans for two additional stores in Dubai, targeted for opening in the City Centre Mirdif in April and in Mall of the Emirates in May.
Further expansion plans include the introduction of stores in Bahrain and Qatar by the end of the year.
Primark made its entry into the Middle East with the launch of a store in Kuwait in October 2025.
As of late January, Primark operates approximately 475 stores across 18 countries in Europe, the Middle East, the UK, and the United States.
