Recently, the Dubai Chamber held a meeting with Li Xiangjing, the Chairwoman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing, to discuss ways to enhance strategic partnerships and support the growth of trade and investment between Dubai and China.
During the meeting, attended by Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah, the Director General of the Dubai Chamber, the focus was on developing bilateral efforts to strengthen business community connections. The discussions revolved around exploring opportunities in sectors of mutual interest, particularly in digital economy, healthcare, and the industrial sector.
Prospects for Cooperation
Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah emphasized, “China’s position as Dubai’s largest trading partner underscores the strategic significance of the economic ties between Dubai and China. We are committed to broadening our cooperation with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing to create more promising opportunities across various sectors, especially in the digital economy and advanced industries. We aim to continue enhancing our constructive partnership and collaborative efforts for mutual benefits.”
The Dubai Chamber previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing during the Dubai Business Forum – China held in Beijing in August 2024. This agreement aims to strengthen bilateral ties and support member companies in establishing and expanding their investments in Dubai, focusing on advocating for the business community’s interests in both Dubai and China while assisting Dubai-based companies in forging promising partnerships with their Chinese counterparts and expanding their operations in the Chinese markets.
