Ajman Chamber Explores Continuity of Food Supply Chains and Integration Between Sectors

The Ajman Chamber organized a meeting for the business group in the food sector to address the latest developments in food supply chains and foster collaboration between government and private entities. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of this crucial sector as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the food security framework.

Proactive Solutions

The meeting, held at the Ajman Chamber headquarters, was led by Salem Al Suwaidi, the Director General of the Chamber. It included attendance from Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of Member Support Services, Jamila Kajoor Al Nuaimi, Director of Member Relations and Support Department, along with members from both governmental and private sectors, including representatives from food factories, companies, and shopping centers.

Salem Al Suwaidi emphasized the significance of the meeting, advocating for enhanced coordination and increased collaboration between the public and private sectors. He highlighted the need for innovative, proactive solutions to improve food security operations in response to global changes. He praised the contributions of government agencies in monitoring markets and ensuring stability through a comprehensive regulatory system that guarantees the availability of essential goods and price stability. Additionally, he acknowledged the efforts of Chamber members from the food manufacturing sector in promoting food security and achieving advanced levels of self-sufficiency by enhancing their production capabilities and adopting innovative methods.

The meeting also discussed the action plan for the upcoming phase to ensure the continuity of food supply chains and enhance their resilience to global changes. This will be accomplished through improved coordination mechanisms among relevant parties, increasing storage and transportation efficiency, and adopting innovative solutions. Participants shared suggestions, insights, and developmental ideas to further strengthen the role of the food sector business group in achieving Ajman’s goals and vision.
