Collaboration Between Dubai CommerCity and Wio to Offer Digital Banking Solutions for Businesses

The Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone has announced a partnership with Wio Bank, aimed at delivering digital banking solutions and comprehensive financial services to businesses operating within its jurisdiction.

This collaboration is designed to enhance access to banking services for companies looking to establish themselves or already operating within the free zone, thereby strengthening the support ecosystem for entrepreneurs and both startup and established businesses.

As part of the memorandum of understanding, registered businesses or those intending to register in the Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone will have the opportunity to utilize the digital banking solutions offered by Wio Bank, which is integrated into the suite of services available to authorized entities.

Wio Bank will provide streamlined account opening processes, prioritized onboarding applications, and dedicated customer relationship management support, all to facilitate access to banking services during both company formation and registration processes.

Abdullah Al Banna, Vice President for Regulatory Operations at the Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone, stated that improving the ease of doing business is a primary focus for the free zone. He emphasized that through this partnership, they aim to expand the range of integrated services available to businesses, enabling them to establish and grow more efficiently, thus solidifying Dubai’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and investment.

Pratik Vahi, Chief Commercial Officer at Wio Bank, expressed that this collaboration with the Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone allows the bank to significantly support companies at a crucial stage in their development by facilitating quicker onboarding processes, providing dedicated relationship support, and offering digital banking tools.

Additionally, as part of this partnership, Wio Bank is considering the launch of a co-branded business card featuring both the bank’s and the Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone’s branding, aimed at providing exclusive benefits and rewards tailored for businesses operating within this integrated ecosystem.
