In the first two months of 2026, the money transfer system managed by the Central Bank of the UAE recorded nearly 4.3 trillion dirhams in transactions. According to the transfer data, interbank transfers accounted for the largest share, representing 60% of total transfers in January, amounting to approximately 2.6 trillion dirhams.
On the other hand, individual transfers made up 40% of the total transfers during this period, with a value close to 1.7 trillion dirhams.
Furthermore, the Central Bank’s indicators revealed that the banking sector experienced around 3.8 million cleared transactions in these two months, with a cumulative value exceeding 244 billion dirhams.
