Dubai Islamic Bank Launches Banking Initiative for Frontline Heroes

Dubai Islamic Bank has launched a dedicated financial support initiative aimed at honoring the heroes on the front lines of the nation, under the motto “Standing Together with Our Heroes.” This initiative demonstrates the bank’s unwavering commitment to support the country and acknowledge the significant efforts made by frontline workers in fulfilling their duties responsibly and sincerely during challenging circumstances.

The initiative is designed to offer prompt and effective assistance, providing a comprehensive package of financial facilities and preferential banking benefits to eligible personnel from various ministries and vital organizations. This aims to enhance their financial stability and meet their essential banking needs, recognizing their crucial role in serving the community and aligning with the bank’s ongoing commitment to national priorities.

The program targets around 25,000 eligible current clients within the retail banking sector and will continue until June 30, 2026, based on established eligibility criteria.

Under this initiative, qualified clients can access a range of facilities that cover basic daily banking needs, including deferring installments for up to three months on certain personal finance and auto finance products without interest or fees, subject to applicable standards. Additionally, there will be fee waivers on some cards and educational support through an easy repayment plan for tuition fees for six months without any charges.

For new clients, the initiative expands beyond initial enrollment to offer added value through a range of key products, including free banking services at all Dubai Islamic Bank branches nationwide, fee-free home financing, and preferential rates on select personal finance and wealth management services. These offerings are crafted in accordance with Dubai Islamic Bank’s client classification framework and the initiative’s conditions, ensuring an exceptional banking experience tailored to meet client needs. New clients will also have the opportunity to win one of 50 additional prizes, each consisting of 10 grams of gold, as part of the bank’s ongoing campaign “Win up to 10 kilograms of gold.” Moreover, existing account holders switching to the bank will receive an enhanced joining bonus of 20% on the DIB XTRA salary account.

Sanjay Malhotra, Head of Retail Banking at Dubai Islamic Bank, remarked, “The heroes on the front lines embody the highest values of commitment, giving, and responsibility, reflecting the admirable spirit of readiness and unity in the face of various challenges in the UAE. In times of adversity or threats to national stability, institutions have a responsibility to respond clearly and supportively with a visible strategy. This initiative is a genuine opportunity for us to reaffirm our dedication to the country by providing practical and tangible financial support to acknowledge the vital role of our frontline workers, helping to meet their needs and enhance their financial stability.”
