Ajman Unveils Package of Incentives to Support the Tourism Sector Under the Guidance of Ammar bin Hamid

Under the directives of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Head of the Executive Council, the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media in Ajman has announced a new set of initiatives aimed at bolstering tourism activities, attracting investments, and enhancing the competitiveness of the sector within the emirate.

This initiative falls under the vision of the Crown Prince, which focuses on developing a favorable business environment for tourism while promoting sustainability and resilience in the sector. The package includes various exemptions and qualitative facilitative measures that encompass different operational, licensing, and marketing aspects, contributing to the support of tourism establishments in the emirate, improving their operational efficiency, and boosting their competitiveness.

Benefits Package

The announced package features several measures and advantages, such as postponing the payment of the tourism fee for all tourism establishments for six months starting from March 1, 2026. Additionally, it includes exemptions from late renewal penalties during the same period, alongside waivers for event permit fees and license renewal fees.

Moreover, the package introduces a ‘flexible payment’ system allowing for interest-free installment payments, as well as free admission for museum visitors until the end of 2026, and exemption for tourism establishments from fees for participation in exhibitions and promotional workshops organized by the department.

Service Quality

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media, stated that the aim of these facilities is to directly invigorate tourism in Ajman by supporting the operations of tourism establishments and improving the quality of services offered to visitors. This is expected to lead to increased occupancy rates, lengthened tourist stays, and higher tourism spending.

He added: “These initiatives enhance the attractiveness of the emirate as a promising investment destination, as the financial and regulatory incentives provided play a crucial role in reducing operational costs and improving the business environment, encouraging new quality investments in tourism, cultural, and entertainment projects, and facilitating sustainable growth that positively impacts various economic sectors in Ajman.”

Comprehensive Development

<p Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media in Ajman, noted that these facilities stem from the department's vision that regards the tourism sector as a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive development of the emirate. He emphasized that supporting and empowering tourism establishments represents a direct investment in the future and economy of Ajman.

He added: “We are committed to working alongside our partners in the private sector to establish Ajman as a distinguished tourist destination that attracts visitors from all over the world.”

Mahmoud Al Hashimi pointed out that these initiatives represent a comprehensive strategic package aimed at stimulating investment and revitalizing tourism in the emirate, thereby enhancing Ajman’s reputation as an attractive business environment.

Cultural Appeal

Supporting the cultural and tourism sector, the exemption of museum visitors from entrance fees until the end of 2026 is expected to enhance cultural appeal. At the same time, exempting tourism establishments from fees for participating in exhibitions and promotional workshops will help improve marketing opportunities and reach new markets.

The Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media in Ajman reaffirmed its commitment to launching quality initiatives that enhance the flexibility of the tourism sector and support its sustainable growth, in alignment with the emirate’s vision to establish itself as a leading tourist and investment destination on both regional and global levels, while promoting balanced and inclusive economic development in the forthcoming phase.
