Dubai Opens 29th Season of Global Village

Dubai’s Global Village, one of the UAE’s most powerful symbols of soft power, officially opens its 29th season, bringing together cultural diplomacy, gastronomic diversity and the creative economy on one platform. From October 16 to May 11, 2025, the complex’s gates are once again open to visitors seeking a unique outdoor cultural experience. In 2024-2025, Global Village is being renovated: 30 pavilions will present more than 90 cultures from around the world, including the debut of four new locations — Jordan, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

This year, the complex acts not only as a tourist center, but also as an important element in the development of the events and festivals sector, which has become one of the priority links in the plan to diversify the economy of Dubai. A record number of retail outlets — over 3,500 — and gastronomic venues — over 250 — along with 40,000 shows and 200 attractions bring the location to the level of a full-fledged megapark of cultural entertainment. This is a response to the growing demand from local families, foreign tourists and regional cultural tourism operators.

Tickets, timing and VIP access: new formats

The management of Global Village has optimized its pricing policy with a focus on online booking. This year, tickets are available via a mobile application, the official website and physically on site. The cost for weekdays (from Sunday to Thursday) is 25 dirhams, and tickets without restrictions for the day are 30 dirhams. Children under 3 years old, pensioners 65+ and people with disabilities receive free access.

This year, premium packages have been introduced — Mega Gold Pack (4,745 dirhams) and Mega Silver Pack (3,245 dirhams) — which combine VIP access to Global Village and annual passes to Dubai Parks and Resorts with unlimited entry to theme parks and discounts at hotels. The traditional line-up includes Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver VIP packages, priced from 1,750 to 7,350 dirhams.

The opening hours also remain flexible.

  • On the first day, the season runs from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
  • The standard schedule is from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 1:00 AM on weekends and public holidays.
  • Every Friday and Saturday, visitors can enjoy a fireworks show at 9:00 PM, which has become the complex’s signature.

New Pavilions, Futuristic Attractions, and Gastroinnovations

Global Village 29 is coming alive not only with its traditional pavilions, but also with an innovative program. This year, a thematic 3D projection inside the “Gate of the World” dome has been added – a visual and sensory show at the intersection of technology, art, and architecture. New infrastructure solutions include the expansion of the Railway Market, the Floating Market, and Fiesta Street, as well as the creation of green embankments for families to relax. A separate location, the Plaza restaurant, has been transformed into a culinary hub, where more than 250 international concepts form a true map of world cuisines.

Gastronomic innovations include two-story food kiosks, specialized stands near Dragon Lake, and a line of authentic snacks adapted to local and vegetarian preferences. At the same time, for adrenaline lovers, a new attraction “Mysteries of the Lost City” has been created – an adventure quest with elements of augmented reality for guests from 10 years old. Also preparing for launch is the futuristic Exo City Planet park, focused on space exploration, adventure and extreme entertainment with a VR component. Thus, Global Village 2024-2025 is not just another season, but a strategic event in the cultural calendar of the UAE, combining a profitable recreational business, international diplomacy and a technological breakthrough in the event economy.
