Metropolitan Group’s extraordinary workplace culture secures its spot in the Top 10 for the fourth year in a row, making it the sole real estate agency ever recognized in this elite category.
Metropolitan Group, a prominent real estate organization in the UAE, has again earned a prestigious place among the Best Workplaces™ of 2025 in the large business sector, as recognized by Great Place to Work, a global leader in workplace culture. This announcement was made during their annual awards ceremony held last month.
The Group continues to break records as the first and only real estate brokerage to feature in the top ten, a recognition that is particularly meaningful in a sector commonly viewed as fiercely competitive. The real estate market is notorious for its high-stakes environment, where success hinges on resilience, expertise, and the capability to thrive amid intense market fluctuations. Metropolitan Group’s distinction as a leading workplace underscores its ongoing commitment to creating a supportive environment for its agents.
The ranking was determined based on confidential feedback from employees, alongside an assessment of management practices and workplace culture. Last year, the Group achieved its highest ranking in the UAE’s Best Workplace category, moving up three spots from 2023. Moreover, it was named the top workplace for women in the GCC in 2022 and has appeared on the Best Workplaces list for millennials in the GCC for two consecutive years.
“Metropolitan Group is dedicated to becoming the premier brokerage for real estate services in the UAE and an employer of choice within the real estate sector,” stated Nikita Kuznetsov, CEO of Metropolitan Group. “This acknowledgment reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire team. We have always emphasized that a flourishing workplace culture is vital to our success, and this achievement is a direct outcome of our ongoing dedication to employee growth, engagement, and empowerment.”
A key factor in the success of Metropolitan Group has been its significant investment in various people and culture initiatives throughout 2024. These programs aimed to reinforce the Group’s core values, enhance feedback mechanisms, boost recognition and rewards, encourage innovation, and prioritize employee training and professional development.
Mike Fleet, Deputy CEO at Metropolitan Group, remarked: “Real estate is a demanding field, particularly for agents reliant solely on commissions, where success is entirely performance-driven. Hence, having a supportive system, robust training, and a positive workplace culture is crucial. At Metropolitan Group, we prioritize investing in our people, ensuring they possess the tools and resources necessary to flourish. Being acknowledged as one of the UAE’s top employers for the fourth consecutive year is a testament to our dedication to nurturing an environment where agents can excel and realize their full potential.”
In 2024, the Group launched several new initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience and workplace culture.
DRIVE Values: The Group revitalized its core values, leading to the development of DRIVE—an acronym for Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Vibrancy, and Excellence. These values embody the Group’s philosophy and are integrated into recruitment processes and daily operations. Award categories were created to honor employees who exemplify these values. Additionally, a new ethics framework supported by an ethics committee was established to encourage appropriate behaviors throughout the organization.
Feedback Culture: Furthering its employee-centered approach, the Group implemented initiatives to promote feedback and facilitate open communication. Regular employee surveys were conducted to collect insights into every aspect of the workplace, incorporating feedback from frontline managers. The results of these surveys helped shape actionable plans to ensure employees feel valued. An open-door policy was also introduced, allowing direct communication with the CEO and Deputy CEO for feedback.
Recognition and Rewards: The Metropolitan Stars program was launched to acknowledge high-achieving employees with non-monetary recognition, such as digital displays for sales notifications, a ‘Wall of Fame’ for top performers, and an online community platform, Metropolitan Hub, which celebrates employees who excel.
Innovation: The Metropolitan Minds initiative encouraged employees to contribute innovative ideas, resulting in 25 proposals within just two months, some of which have already been put into action. To support development further, the company introduced the Metropolitan Online Academy, providing cutting-edge sales training, product knowledge, and tools for career advancement.
Metropolitan Essentials: The Group also rolled out a new skills program focused on essential practices for high-performing sales agents. This course emphasizes mastering optimal client interaction standards—covering calls, meetings, and viewings—through live training, online modules, and practical assignments. Participants receive certification as accredited Metropolitan Agents upon completion.
CSR and Team Building: The Group’s commitment to employee engagement extends beyond the workplace. In 2024, it organized a beach cleanup event on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, alongside an outdoor team-building event that attracted over 650 employees. The Group also partnered with Global Giving Initiative, Buy 1 Give 1, to provide educational materials for over 900 nursery children in Africa. Partnerships with NYU and Sorbonne University have created new internship opportunities for students in the Capital.
To further attract top talent, Metropolitan Group will host a half-day recruitment event at its office in Al Salam Tower, Dubai, on April 18 at 10 AM. This event will offer valuable insights into the tools and strategies that Metropolitan agents employ to achieve remarkable sales results.
