Swiss Sigma Enterprises Unveils Cutting-Edge Robotics Technology in the UAE

Sigma Enterprises showcased precision robotics and drone solutions from Swiss companies Anibotix, Flyability, and Wingtra during the inaugural Swiss Future Technology Exhibition held recently in Abu Dhabi. Sigma, representing a selection of global technology and engineering products in the Gulf region, has secured exclusive distribution rights for these Swiss firms in the UAE. The company is now in the process of implementing these solutions with its clients, providing comprehensive support, training, and after-sales services.

The drone and robotics industry is experiencing significant growth globally, including in the Middle East. The UAE has taken a leading role in gradually integrating these technologies into government sectors and public facilities, alongside the introduction of autonomous vehicles and flying taxis, aiming to transform its urban infrastructure into smart cities where drones, machines, and artificial intelligence will play crucial roles.

Sigma Enterprises’ introduction of world-class robotics technology from Anibotix, known for its Swiss precision, is expected to elevate the UAE’s robotics market revenue to $241.95 million this year, with service robots anticipated to dominate with a projected market value of $223.75 million.

This sector is anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10.45%, reaching $360.12 million by 2029.

Dr. Arthur Mattli, the Swiss Ambassador to the UAE, indicated that the trade volume between the UAE and Switzerland exceeds $2.5 billion. He noted, “In a constantly evolving world, we are witnessing a quiet revolution marked by the advancement of artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, data science, precision technology, and innovation, along with drone technology development. Our shared commitment to precision and innovation ensures that machines will not replace us but will safeguard us. The accuracy of their data will define the effectiveness of the smart cities emerging worldwide.” Sigma Enterprises’ partnership with leading Swiss technology companies signifies a vital collaboration between the two nations, which share similar ideologies regarding innovation and technology. This partnership represents a landmark in our relationship and the beginning of UAE-Swiss cooperation that will strengthen ties between the two countries.

Dr. Arthur Mattli also remarked, “Today, we celebrate not just technology but also the message, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit that drive innovation forward. Companies like Anibotix, Flyability, and Wingtra are not merely manufacturing machines; they are pioneers of the future.” He concluded, “They integrate innovation, artificial intelligence, and Swiss precision to create smarter tools that benefit various industries.”

Charbel Khoury, CEO of Mazroui International Group, stated, “Mazroui Group is a diversified business conglomerate with interests in trade, construction, services, real estate, and oil and gas, boasting over five decades of experience. We provide the latest industrial solutions to support our economy with top-notch services and solutions.”

The General Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE, which regulates the drone industry, has recorded nearly 24,000 commercial and industrial drones, in addition to over 100 commercial licenses related to drone operations, including leasing and providing display services.
