The UAE-based company, Emirates Equipment and Electrical Engineering Company (EEIC), has announced a strategic partnership with InfyPower, a global leader in electric vehicle charging and energy storage solutions. This partnership was unveiled during their participation in the World Utilities Congress 2025 held in Abu Dhabi, with the aim of establishing a smart and sustainable infrastructure that will facilitate the transition to electric transportation in the UAE.
According to Hagop Dermosissian, the General Manager of EEIC, “This collaboration marks a significant step toward accelerating clean mobility in the UAE. As the exclusive agent for InfyPower, we are delivering advanced technology for electric vehicle charging and energy storage solutions to the local market, aligning with the national agenda aimed at achieving climate neutrality by 2050.”
Dermosissian explained that this partnership is a direct response to government initiatives aimed at increasing the percentage of electric vehicles in the country. He noted that “integrating InfyPower’s solutions into our ecosystem reflects our deep commitment to providing sustainable and efficient solutions that cater to various sectors, from municipalities to industrial enterprises.”
Joseph Mazuta, the Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at InfyPower, emphasized the importance of the UAE market within the company’s regional expansion strategy. He stated, “We are excited about this partnership with EEIC, which represents a key launch point for us in the Middle East. Our hybrid chargers’ capability to operate both on and off the electrical grid offers significant flexibility for installation and operation in both urban and remote locations.”
He further highlighted that this level of innovation is what the UAE market needs given its ambitious goals, clarifying, “We are not just selling products; we are providing a comprehensive vision for a sustainable mobility future with reliable and scalable technologies.”
Regarding their participation in the World Utilities Congress, Dermosissian pointed out that the event provided an excellent platform to showcase the early outcomes of their collaboration. He added, “Our joint booth attracted significant attention from decision-makers and experts, with the advanced electric vehicle charger prototype serving as concrete evidence of this partnership’s potential to deliver solutions that meet tomorrow’s demands.”
Dermosissian reaffirmed that discussions held during the exhibition clearly reflect the growing demand for integrated electric vehicle infrastructure, stating, “The interactions we experienced further convince us that we are on the right path to support the UAE’s clean energy and smart mobility objectives.”
When asked about how the partnership supports climate neutrality goals, Dermosissian emphasized that integrating InfyPower’s technologies with EEIC’s local standards paves the way for launching an efficient and comprehensive infrastructure. He remarked,
“By deploying hybrid charging devices that can function both on and off the grid, we provide flexible solutions that serve all regions of the country, contributing to reduced emissions and enhanced energy efficiency.”
He concluded by stating, “Most importantly, we are working to manufacture these solutions locally under the ‘Made in the UAE’ initiative, supporting the national supply chain, creating job opportunities, and reinforcing the country’s status as a global hub in the field of clean energy.”
