Istanbul, Turkey, is gearing up to host the inaugural Public Finance Forum, which will feature the Sharjah Award for Public Finance. Titled “Managing Public Debt in a Changing World: Sustainable Strategies to Address Global Economic Challenges,” the event will take place over the next two days at the Radisson Blu Şişli Hotel. This initiative is jointly organized by the Sharjah Finance Department and the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the Arab League, attracting high-level participation from financial institution leaders, policymakers, international experts, as well as representatives from regional and international organizations focused on financial governance.
The forum serves as a prominent intellectual platform that addresses one of the most significant challenges facing modern economies: the management of public debt amid increasing pressure on financial resources and global economic fluctuations.
The aim of the forum is to present innovative strategic insights and effective models for public debt management, emphasizing the integration of fiscal policies, equitable resource distribution, and the balance between growth and stability. The organizers of the award expressed their belief in the importance of enhancing international cooperation frameworks, which is why Turkey was chosen to host this first edition of the forum.
