Dubai Customs has achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious Harvard Business Awards Council accolade. This accomplishment highlights the international recognition of Dubai Customs’ growing role in empowering female personnel and leaders, contributing to the objectives of the UAE’s National Policy for the Empowerment of Emirati Women 2031.
The award and gold medal were presented to Iman Al Suwaidi, Director of Customer Happiness and Manager of the Authorized Economic Operator Program at Dubai Customs, during a ceremony held at the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce in London. This historic institution has been a leading supporter of social progress and innovation since 1754.
Iman Al Suwaidi remarked, “The female workforce at Dubai Customs is fully supported by the senior leadership team. We aim for Emirati women to play a central role in the economic development journey. Dubai Customs reinforces this role by providing a positive and encouraging work environment for national talents to achieve top positions.” She expressed her joy in adding this global award to Dubai Customs’ impressive record of distinguished honors. The conference and awards ceremony this year marked a unique event with the launch of the new global model for smart sustainable excellence (ISE), alongside the recognition of 63 winners across 30 categories, selected from 4,172 nominations.
