The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of the broader Chamber of Dubai, launched the first event in its “Business Opportunities Under the Microscope” initiative for the second half of 2025. This initiative aims to aid local companies in exploring expansion opportunities in Armenia, Georgia, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
Attending the event were His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Dubai Chambers, along with His Excellency George Jangalava, the Georgian Ambassador to the UAE; His Excellency Saman Man, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Cambodia to Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain; His Excellency Muhammad Fadhli Omar Aiman, Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai; Fergus Hovhannisyan, First Secretary at the Armenian Embassy in the UAE; and His Excellency Muhammad Ali Rashed Lootah, General Director of the Dubai Chambers.
The “Business Opportunities Under the Microscope” event attracted over 160 participants and provided insights into key commercial and investment prospects, as well as operational mechanisms within the four selected markets. Attendees gained an in-depth understanding of promising economic sectors and effective strategies for entering these markets and achieving sustainable growth.
Saeed Al Shamsi, Vice President for International Relations at the Dubai Chambers, stated, “We are committed to enhancing the local business community’s ability to seize promising opportunities in global markets and to achieve sustainable growth and expansion, leveraging Dubai’s strengths as a leading international business hub, which supports the competitiveness of the private sector and the growth of non-oil foreign trade in the emirate.”
The session included a presentation on the initiatives undertaken by the Dubai Chamber to support Dubai companies in their international expansion, highlighting the available commercial and investment opportunities in Armenia, Georgia, Malaysia, and Cambodia. This was followed by a discussion panel on trade and investment prospects in these regions.
Participants in these meetings receive comprehensive information about the markets they consider for commercial and investment expansion, along with tailored recommendations throughout their international growth phases, starting from market data provision, business operation guidelines, to company establishment and joint venture agreements.
The outcomes of the “Business Opportunities Under the Microscope” event will serve as a cornerstone for the “New Horizons for International Expansion” initiative, which offers Dubai companies the chance to join trade missions organized by the Dubai Chamber to carefully selected overseas markets and to hold events and meetings in these locations with the aim of exploring investment opportunities and fostering economic partnerships.
