The General Authority of Civil Aviation held the Aviation Safety Advisory Conference 2025 at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai. This event brought together key stakeholders in the aviation sector from across the United Arab Emirates under the theme “Innovation in Regulatory Frameworks and Operational Excellence.”
Engineer Akil Alzarouni, the Assistant Director General for Aviation Safety Affairs, stated, “The Aviation Safety Advisory Conference 2025 reflects our shared ambition for leadership through collaboration, innovation, and regulatory flexibility.” He emphasized that by integrating efforts with industry partners, they continue to foster a safety culture that supports sustainable growth in the aviation sector both domestically and internationally.
During the conference, the “Safety Decision 2025-01” was announced, addressing the issue of fatigue in aircraft maintenance environments. Discussions also covered vertical electric aircraft operations, AI-enhanced compliance systems, and the flexibility of aviation operations in adverse weather conditions. Topics included emergency response, safety performance efficiency, adjustments to work and rest schedules, pilot licensing updates, oversight of training programs, non-technical competencies, and passenger behavior management. In addition, enhancements to the CAR-AIR OPS systems, electronic services, and an invitation to participate in the “Safety Marathon 2025” were also presented.
