The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) has announced the opening of applications for the seventh edition of the “Sharjah Gateway Challenge.” This year’s focus is on the education sector, aiming to empower innovative solutions that harness the transformative power of education to address fundamental challenges in the field, aligning with the UAE’s National Higher Education Strategy 2030.
The total prize pool amounts to 500,000 AED, which will be divided equally between two winners, with applications accepted until August 17.
Sheraa is inviting applications from startups in the global education sector that possess practical and innovative solutions and are seeking international expansion.
This challenge is in collaboration with the Sharjah Private Education Authority and the Sharjah Academy of Education. Winning solutions will be tested and implemented in several institutions, including Al Sidra Private School, Khalifa Al Hamza American Private School, the Pakistan Islamic High School, and Al Badi’ Nursery.
Current participants are encouraged to present innovative solutions targeting two major challenges within the education sector: readiness for future skills and the use of the Arabic language in early childhood education.
Additionally, startups must provide practical, implementable solutions and ready-to-use models while committing to establish and operate their ventures in partnership with Sheraa.
