The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has announced the establishment of a Delivery Business Group in Dubai aimed at fostering growth in the sector and providing a unified platform to represent delivery companies operating in the city and advocate for their interests.
The launch of this new business group is part of the Dubai Chamber’s efforts to enhance the representation of the private sector across various economic sectors and activities. Currently, there are 106 business groups operating under the chamber that contribute to building a more resilient economy ready for the future.
The group will regularly coordinate and collaborate with government entities and private sector companies to discuss the current landscape of the sector, its opportunities and challenges, as well as explore ways to develop policies that support the long-term growth of the delivery services sector.
Maha Al-Qarqawi, Vice President of Business Community Support at Dubai Chambers, stated, “The delivery services sector in Dubai is witnessing rapid growth driven by digital transformation, increasing consumer demand for various products, population growth, and the swift urban expansion of the city. We will work closely with the Delivery Business Group in Dubai to help represent the interests of companies in this sector and effectively contribute to its sustainable growth.”
The group will present proposals for developing regulatory policies that enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of the sector. In addition, it will promote best global practices, drive the economic growth of Dubai, elevate professional standards within the sector, foster sustainable delivery solutions, encourage fair competition, and support the adoption of smart technologies such as artificial intelligence and electric vehicles. It will also address key issues related to the well-being of the workforce, improve regulatory frameworks, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the sector.
