Sheikh Saeed bin Surour Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised the growth and flourishing economic relationships between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, both broadly and specifically concerning Fujairah.
This statement was made during a meeting at the chamber’s office with Robert Raines, the U.S. Consul General in the UAE, who was accompanied by a delegation focused on trade and economic matters. Abdullah Al Dhahani, a board member, and Sultan Al Handasi, the chamber’s Director General, were also present at the discussion.
Sheikh Saeed expressed his hope that the visit of the U.S. Consul General would enhance and develop the relationships between the public and private sectors of both entities. During the meeting, they explored ways Fujairah could benefit from advanced expertise held by the U.S. in areas such as technology, energy, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, tourism, and education.
The Chamber’s Director General stated that Fujairah has established commercial ties with the United States, with their trade volume exceeding 240 million dirhams in 2024. Additionally, there are 19 American companies registered with the chamber, operating in various sectors.
The Consul General extended an invitation to the chamber to send a business delegation to the United States to meet with business owners and explore collaboration opportunities that would benefit both sides.
