Etihad Airways has announced the expansion of its network by adding seven new destinations as part of its strategy to strengthen direct flights to and from Abu Dhabi.
In a press release today, the airline revealed that the new destinations include Almaty in Kazakhstan; Baku in Azerbaijan; Bucharest in Romania; Medina in Saudi Arabia; Tbilisi in Georgia; Tashkent in Uzbekistan; and Yerevan in Armenia. These additions aim to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a thriving hub for tourism, culture, and commerce. Tickets for these routes will go on sale in the coming days, with flights set to commence in March 2026, while services to Medina will begin in November 2025.
Including these new destinations, Etihad Airways will operate a total of 29 new routes in 2025, following earlier announcements regarding ongoing and seasonal flights.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated: “We aim to attract more travelers to direct flights to Abu Dhabi. These new routes connect us to rapidly growing and culturally rich regions, and will help stimulate demand for tourism and trade in the UAE’s capital.”
