Mubadala Investment Company, the investment arm of the Abu Dhabi government, along with Partners Group, one of the largest private markets companies globally, GIC, a prominent global investor, and TPG Rise Climate, the climate investment arm of the impact investment platform TPG, have announced a joint agreement to acquire Techem, a German company that specializes in digital solutions for the building sector, for an estimated total of nearly 29 billion AED (6.7 billion EUR). The acquisition of Techem is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025, pending customary conditions and regulatory approvals.

Techem, with its leading position as a trusted provider of digital sub-metering solutions, is well-positioned to continue driving this transformation by improving energy management in buildings and enhancing consumption efficiency.

We are pleased to invest alongside Partners Group, GIC, and TPG Rise Climate to support Techem in its journey towards expansion and bolster its contributions in this area. This deal aligns with Mubadala’s long-term commitment to purposeful investing and addressing global challenges.”
