Dubai Expo Collaborates with Chinese Machinery Union to Attract Advanced Industries

Recently, the Dubai Chamber organized a roundtable discussion in Beijing in collaboration with the China Machinery Industry Federation, aimed at attracting advanced industries to achieve the objectives of Dubai’s economic agenda D33.

During the event, the Dubai Chamber signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Machinery Industry Federation. This agreement, attended by Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Chamber, and Niansha Shou, Chairman of the Federation, seeks to enhance bilateral cooperation and elevate the relationship between the business communities of Dubai and China, while ensuring ongoing coordination to explore shared opportunities across various sectors.

Mohammed Ali Rashed Lootah expressed, “We are committed to strengthening economic ties between Dubai and China and advancing bilateral cooperation in priority sectors, particularly in industry. This will open new opportunities for the private sector and support sustainable development. We are dedicated to aiding Chinese industrial companies to leverage the promising prospects that Dubai offers, along with its competitive advantages as a leading international business hub.”

According to the memorandum of understanding, the Dubai Chamber will provide comprehensive support to companies within the network of the China Machinery Industry Federation to foster their growth in Dubai and capitalize on the numerous expansion and growth opportunities available. In return, the Federation will assist businesses operating in Dubai to enhance their partnerships with Chinese counterparts. The collaboration will also extend to joint efforts related to specialized trade events, investment missions, and the exchange of commercial and economic data.

The roundtable event featured representatives from numerous industrial bodies and major Chinese companies specialized in a wide range of industries. Discussions focused on enhancing trade and investment flows between Dubai and China across various industrial sectors, including vehicles, construction, industrial machinery, agriculture, and water purification solutions. Opportunities provided by specialized exhibitions in Dubai for Chinese industrial companies to expand regionally and globally were also highlighted.

The meeting further emphasized Dubai’s focus on advancing future economic sectors, such as artificial intelligence and robotics, while discussing the role of the Dubai Chamber in supporting both small and medium-sized Chinese enterprises alongside larger industrial firms as they aim to enter global markets through the emirate. Strategies to strengthen the strategic collaboration between the Dubai Chamber and the China Machinery Federation, along with associated entities, were also examined to attract more Chinese industrial firms to Dubai.
