The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah has reported impressive results for the first half of 2025, completing 38,600 business transactions. This marks a remarkable growth of 76.4% compared to the same period last year, which saw 21,880 transactions. This significant increase reflects rising confidence in the local economy and a growing interest in business and investment activities within the emirate.
Amina Al Shuhhi, Director of Commercial Affairs at the department, stated, “Data from the Commercial Affairs Department indicates that the most sought-after service is the modification of commercial licenses, with 3,330 transactions, followed by the reservation of economic names at 3,009 transactions. This is a clear sign of the expanding business environment and the increasing engagement of investors and new entrepreneurs in the market.”
Furthermore, reports indicate that the business sustainability rate in the emirate has reached 99%, with a 5.8% increase in the number of valid licenses. This illustrates the stability of economic activities and their capacity to adapt and grow in a flexible and stimulating regulatory environment. In terms of operational efficiency, the department has continued to enhance the quality of its services, achieving a transaction accuracy rate of 98.5% and an average processing time of under five minutes per transaction, thanks to its advanced digital infrastructure and the efforts of skilled teams.
