Etihad Airways has reaffirmed its commitment to fortifying its position in the global aviation sector by expanding strategic partnerships that connect international airlines with Abu Dhabi, thereby creating travel opportunities for millions of passengers.
In a statement, the airline highlighted that with over 40 code-share partners within its network, it links travelers to more than 300 destinations worldwide, establishing Abu Dhabi as one of the most accessible cities across the globe.
The newly formed cooperative agreements encompass strategic partnerships with Ethiopian Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and Air Europa, in addition to code-share agreements with Seychelles Airlines, Akasa Air, TAP Air Portugal, and Sky Express. This reinforces Etihad’s role in attracting major global airlines to the UAE capital.
According to Arik De, the Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad, these partnerships not only broaden access to vital markets such as China, North America, Africa, and Europe, but they also contribute directly to the growth of tourism in Abu Dhabi, affirming the city’s role as a hub for innovation, tourism, and global business.
