The Dubai Chambers recently organized a special seminar aimed at highlighting the high-quality services provided to support the growth of the business community and enhance its competitiveness both locally and internationally. The event attracted 180 representatives from various sectors of the private economy.
During this virtual seminar, participants learned about how to leverage the programs, initiatives, and services offered by the three chambers under the Dubai Chambers umbrella: the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai Global Chamber, and Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy. The efforts of these chambers to stimulate the success and expansion of local businesses were showcased, aiming to create more promising growth opportunities across various sectors and contribute to Dubai’s economic development.
The seminar also discussed the benefits of membership in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which facilitates business operations. This includes essential services such as issuing certificates of origin and temporary import regimes for goods, as well as document certification and mediation services for resolving commercial disputes. Furthermore, local companies are given the opportunity to participate in the development of business regulations and legislation through engagement in business groups under the chamber that ensure representation of diverse economic and commercial sectors in Dubai. This plays a crucial role in fostering dialogue between government entities and private sector companies, helping to address policy challenges and enhance the emirate’s economic competitiveness.
Additionally, the event highlighted the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s initiatives to support the global expansion of local businesses by organizing trade missions that connect private sector companies in the emirate with trusted partners in priority markets. Workshops aimed at raising awareness of relevant laws and regulations in various economic sectors were also discussed.
The seminar also covered the global strategy of Dubai Global Chamber aimed at attracting foreign companies and investments to Dubai. It discussed its efforts to draw multinational companies through its expanding network of international offices, which promote Dubai’s competitive advantages in foreign markets and provide market information to enhance business opportunities, attract foreign direct investment, and support Dubai companies’ expansion internationally.
Furthermore, the role of Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy in advancing the digital transformation agenda in the emirate was discussed, including its initiatives to support the growth of local startups. Key initiatives such as “Expand North Star,” the largest global event for startups and investors, and the platform for “Supporting and Attracting Companies” designed to assist firms looking to launch or expand operations in the emirate were highlighted. This platform offers a range of operational and institutional services, alongside an “App Innovation” competition aimed at solidifying Dubai’s leadership in smart application development and attracting innovative talent to this vital sector, encouraging entrepreneurs to submit their ideas and projects for mobile app development.
As a key driver of economic growth in Dubai, the Dubai Chambers are committed to empowering businesses and fostering their growth in the emirate. They support companies operating within to successfully expand into foreign markets while also playing a pivotal role in nurturing the emirate’s digital economy, protecting the interests of the business community, and promoting Dubai as a leading global business hub.
