The travel activity at Dubai International Airport has remained high in recent hours as summer vacations come to an end and many families, both local and expatriate, prepare for the upcoming school year starting in just two days.
Yesterday, the exceptional travel peak continued at Dubai’s terminals, with estimates suggesting that approximately 3.6 million passengers were welcomed, averaging around 280,000 travelers per day from August 13 to August 25.
In the first half of 2025, Dubai International Airport recorded its highest passenger traffic to date, bolstered by the expansion of national carriers, the addition of more destinations to their ever-growing networks, and a resurgence in tourism driven by exhibitions, conferences, and diverse tourism offerings in the emirate.
Dubai received 9.88 million international visitors who stayed for at least one night, marking a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the airport surpassed 46 million passengers, further solidifying its position as the busiest airport in the world for international travelers.
To ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience, Dubai Airports continues to coordinate efforts with all partners within the oneDXB community, including airlines, regulatory authorities, and commercial and service partners, to facilitate the movement of incoming travelers.
