Dubai Aviation Sets New Standards for Advanced Air Transportation

The Dubai Airshow 2025, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, aims to establish new standards in advanced air transport on the global stage. This event is set to be the largest and most diverse in the aviation sector, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers.

Taking place at Dubai World Central from November 17 to 21, 2025, the show will host over 1,500 exhibitors from around the world and feature more than 200 aircraft. The event includes 12 tracks and will see participation from over 350 expert speakers.

The show will act as a platform for unveiling the latest innovations in the aviation sector and showcasing the infrastructure and regulatory frameworks that will redefine travel. Dubai is preparing to launch electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) taxi services starting next year.

The advanced air transport program for 2025 aligns with the UAE’s accelerating momentum toward this achievement, showcasing new aircraft, pioneering technologies, and regulatory advancements. It will also feature a busy agenda of keynote speeches, in-depth discussions, and networking opportunities designed to accelerate the transition to operational commercial applications of these innovations.

The advanced air transport pavilion is expected to attract significant attention as an inspiring hub for innovation, featuring eVTOL aircraft and drones capable of flight outside the venue.

Conversations on the air transport platform will be led by a group of experts, supported by major industry players such as Archer Aviation, Joby Aviation, and Infinix, who are shaping the future of aviation.

Anthony Khoury, General Manager of Joby Aviation in the UAE, stated, “The focus of the Dubai Airshow on advanced air transport emphasizes the UAE’s leading role in transitioning to a new phase in the aviation sector.”

This initiative reflects a global trend to provide communities around the world with optimal air travel options that are quiet, fast, and sustainable.

Waleed Al-Balushi, Corporate Communications Director at K2, remarked, “At the Dubai Airshow, we are showcasing our innovations in eVTOL aircraft through our subsidiary, Autocraft, based in Abu Dhabi. This platform provides a vital opportunity to demonstrate the role of advanced air transport in transforming the way cities are connected, enhancing efficiency, and supporting sustainability and innovation goals in the UAE.”

He added, “We look forward to mass-producing eVTOL aircraft in Abu Dhabi, solidifying the UAE’s position as a global center for advanced aviation industries.”

New Participants

The exhibition will also see first-time participation from various exhibitors in the advanced air transport sector, including Sarla Aviation from India and Transfuture Aviation from China. Damian Kizly, Regional Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Skyports Infrastructure, noted:

“The UAE has successfully led the advanced air transport scene, and as we continue construction on the first commercial vertiport near Dubai International Airport, and prepare to begin work on three more vertiports across Dubai, this event provides the ideal platform to showcase our momentum and extensive expertise, especially as we aim to launch more vertiport projects throughout the UAE.”

Saif Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority, will kick off the program with the National Plan for establishing a connected and sustainable airspace. Notable participants in the discussions include Adam Goldstein, CEO of Archer Aviation, delivering a talk entitled, “Archer’s Vision – Turning Air Transport into Reality.” The program will also feature contributions from Joby Aviation CEO Joe Ben Bevirt and Imran Malik, Director of the Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Manufacturing Hub at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.
