Dubai Hotel Revenues Reach 11.1 Billion Dirhams in Just Seven Months

Dubai’s hotel revenue for the first seven months of the current year reached 11.1 billion dirhams, a notable increase from 9.95 billion dirhams during the same timeframe last year, marking an 11.5% growth. This information comes from an analysis of average revenue per available room and booked nights.

According to data from the Department of Economy and Tourism, the number of booked hotel nights from January to the end of July rose by 4%, totaling 25.53 million nights, compared to 24.51 million nights in the previous year. The revenue per available room also saw a 7% increase, rising to 435 dirhams from 406 dirhams.

Dubai’s hotels achieved record revenues during this period, positioning the emirate among the key global markets. It has become a competitive space for hotel groups eager to expand their presence and market share in light of the growing influx of tourists from various regions.

The hotels in Dubai maintained an upward trajectory across all main indicators, which include revenue per available room, average daily rates, number of booked nights, capacity, and the number of establishments.

The robust performance of the hotel sector underscores Dubai’s ongoing commitment to solidifying its status as one of the leading tourist destinations worldwide. Expectations remain high for continued momentum in the coming months, particularly with a series of international events and conferences on the horizon.

The emirate is anticipated to experience high occupancy rates with the launch of major exhibitions such as “GITEX Global” and the “Dubai Airshow,” alongside the return of events that attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.
