His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, presented Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, with the first International Holy Quran Award of the Emirates – Personality of the Year 2025, reported by Emirates 24|7.
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has praised the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and his efforts to promote human values inspired by the principles of Islam at the local and global levels.
Promoting the nation’s progress
His Highness the President presented His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid with a special edition of the Mushaf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as a framed photograph of the two leaders with the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as well as a signed letter expressing appreciation for Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s dedicated service to the Holy Quran, his efforts to honor his readers, publish copies of the Quran, support Quran competitions and promote the Arabic language in society.
During a meeting at Sheikh Zayed Farm in Al Khawanij, Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s role in promoting the nation’s progress and supporting the development of its people. He described his contribution as a defining feature of the UAE’s journey and noted that its humanitarian and cultural initiatives serve as a source of inspiration for the development and prosperity of humanity.
Dubai International Quran Award
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has made outstanding contributions to the service of the Holy Quran, particularly through the Dubai International Quran Award, which encompasses several key initiatives. He has also established the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for the Printing of the Holy Quran and has played a leading role in the development of Quranic institutions and academies.
The inaugural Emirates International Quran Award was launched by the General Directorate of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness the President of the UAE, reflecting his commitment to supporting the Quran both locally and internationally. The award also reinforces the UAE’s commitment to nurturing national talent, supporting those who memorize and recite the Quran, and recognizing outstanding global figures in the field.
