The Small and Medium Enterprises Center, known as “Tijara 101,” under the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has achieved notable successes during the first quarter of 2026. The center recorded a 100% occupancy rate at its location in Khorfakkan and successfully attracted various entrepreneurial projects from both male and female citizens, reinforcing its commitment to empowering youth and women economically in the Emirate of Sharjah.
These achievements align with the Sharjah Chamber’s initiative to enhance a comprehensive institutional framework supporting entrepreneurs by providing advanced infrastructure and integrated training programs. This effort aims to effectively integrate young talents into the private sector. Concurrently, the chamber recorded a 14% growth in memberships last year, offering members of “Tijara 101” a vast network of business relationships that can open new avenues for growth and expansion in local and international markets.
“Tijara 101” has attracted diverse entrepreneurial projects spanning promising economic sectors. Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the exceptional outcomes achieved by “Tijara 101” reflect the success of the strategic vision on which the center was established in 2019. This vision focuses on providing a comprehensive nurturing environment that enables Emirati youth to turn their ambitions into sustainable economic projects, contributing to the overall national development journey. He emphasized that the Sharjah Chamber is utilizing all its resources and specialized centers to support entrepreneurs in achieving their aspirations and professional successes.
Meanwhile, Mona Imran Ali, Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Center “Tijara 101,” revealed plans to open a new location in the eastern region. This expansion follows the success of the Khorfakkan branch, which opened in April 2024 and achieved full occupancy in a short period. She confirmed that the expansion aims to support entrepreneurs amid significant demand for memberships at the main branch in Sharjah. The increasing number of members reflects the success of the initiative launched by the chamber and the trust of the youth business community in the center’s programs.
