The Dubai Land Department has announced an opportunity for citizens interested in enrolling in the “Dubai Real Estate Broker Program.” Registration for the program is available through a dedicated link on the department’s official website. This announcement comes in response to the growing interest in the program since its inception, which has successfully attracted a significant number of citizens eager to enter the real estate brokerage market. This initiative reflects its rising status as a strategic endeavor aimed at enhancing the participation of national talents in this crucial sector.
In this context, the Dubai Land Department encourages developers and real estate brokers, especially those who were unable to join the Dubai Real Estate Broker Program during its previous phases, to support the program’s journey by submitting their proposals and initiatives. Their involvement is viewed as essential partners in the program’s success. The department emphasizes the importance of this collaboration in building a comprehensive system that focuses on the integration of both governmental and private sectors, thereby opening up quality opportunities to qualify and employ national talents. This approach aims to support the sustainability of the real estate sector and solidify Dubai’s reputation as an attractive environment for talent and investment.
The program has achieved significant milestones, surpassing 180% in the number of qualified citizen brokers compared to the annual target. Moreover, dozens of specialized training sessions have been successfully conducted in collaboration with accredited academic institutions. Participants who meet the training requirements receive a real estate broker license valid for three years, allowing them to officially practice their profession within the established legal and regulatory frameworks of the emirate. These efforts have positively impacted the performance of qualified brokers, who have recorded real estate transactions totaling over 500 million dirhams since the program’s launch, alongside the establishment of 231 new brokerage firms.
As part of its institutional cooperation, the department has organized more than 10 meetings and gatherings with 71 strategic partners from various fields related to the real estate sector. This group comprises 26 development companies, 38 brokerage firms, and 4 training and qualification institutes, contributing to the formation of a collaborative network that enhances the professional success chances of participants while reinforcing the supportive framework for localizing this vital sector.
To stimulate the business environment and promote the localization of real estate professions, the Dubai Land Department will implement a points-based incentive system for brokerage companies that actively employ citizens. These companies will earn additional points, which will elevate their ranking within the department’s evaluation system, positively influencing their competitive prospects in the market.
The department asserts that the Dubai Real Estate Broker Program is a key component aligned with the objectives of the “Dubai Social Agenda 2033.” It aims to empower citizens to take advantage of economic opportunities in the real estate sector through specialized vocational training, issuing a “National Broker” license valid for three years, and allocating a portion of real estate projects to participants in the program, along with enhancing their employment prospects in brokerage firms operating in Dubai.
This program serves as a comprehensive platform for developing national competencies and preparing a generation of qualified citizen brokers according to the highest professional standards. It contributes to establishing Dubai as a leading global investment destination in real estate, thereby enhancing the sector’s sustainability and dynamism. The initiative also aims to increase the proportion of citizens working in real estate brokerage to 15% over the next three years, reflecting the Dubai Government’s commitment to involving national talents in high-value economic sectors.
The continuation and expansion of the program confirm its successful vision of opening new horizons for Emirati youth and equipping them with the tools of competition and innovation, in line with the emirate’s comprehensive development trends while contributing to building a more inclusive and sustainable economic system.
