Launch of the “A’id” Platform to Strengthen Supply Chain Sustainability and Facilitate Trade

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office, in partnership with 7X, has unveiled “UAE Support,” a new observatory aimed at bolstering supply chains and facilitating trade within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. This initiative has been developed in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Customs, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council. It represents a significant step towards enhancing business continuity in key sectors and ensuring the economic ecosystem is well-prepared to adapt to rapid economic changes through a unified digital platform for monitoring and managing logistics support requests.

The “UAE Support” platform leverages the Abu Dhabi Investment Office’s expertise in business support and market analysis, which strengthens the ability to track the flow of industrial inputs associated with imports and exports, thereby sustaining trade and supply chains.

Mohammed Ali Al Kamali, CEO of Trade and Industry at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, stated that the office continues its efforts to support the industrial and commercial sectors as fundamental pillars of the economy. He emphasized that the “UAE Support” platform provides analytical tools based on real-time data and practical guidance, ensuring business continuity and supporting Abu Dhabi’s economic growth targets while reinforcing its position as a global leader in trade, investment, and advanced industries.

Tariq Al Wahdi, CEO of 7X, noted that the “UAE Support” platform serves as a pioneering model for public-private sector integration, promoting more efficient and sustainable supply chains. He added that the collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office embodies this integration, helping to establish Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a leading global hub for trade, industry, and investment.

In addition to the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and 7X, the platform features a range of strategic partners, including the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abu Dhabi Customs, and the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council.

The platform fundamentally relies on artificial intelligence technologies to provide actionable and implementable insights in the fields of supply chains and trade, enabling businesses and government entities to execute processes more efficiently.

By organizing requests, identifying gaps in supply chain needs, and connecting users with specialized expertise in trade and logistics services, the platform aids in informed decision-making and enhances operational continuity.

A trade task force within the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry will identify challenges and refer them through a clearly coordinated mechanism, ensuring that requests are monitored and managed through an integrated network of partners to provide adequate support and maintain the flow of trade.

This model is based on the synergy of two key areas of expertise; the Trade and Industry team at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office assists businesses in identifying and connecting with local and international suppliers, while 7X coordinates the transportation and logistics framework to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of goods.
