The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry concluded its initiative “Al Dhaid Nights and Fily Nights” as part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2026, announcing the winners of major raffles for two Nissan Patrol vehicles, along with a host of valuable prizes. The event attracted a large crowd of visitors and families who enjoyed promotional offers and cultural heritage activities.
The celebrations, held at the Al Dhaid Sharia Market and Fily Heritage Market, were attended by Abdullah Sultan Al-Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber, along with several board members, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of the chamber, and Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for Communication and Business Sector. The winners of the vehicles and other prizes were honored, along with partners from governmental and media sectors who supported the event.
The initiative featured a diverse range of entertaining and cultural activities, including musical performances, cultural activities, and interactive competitions. Videos showcasing key events from the festival and a competition for the best coverage of the festival on Instagram were also presented, aimed at enhancing visitor engagement and promoting the heritage markets in innovative ways.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi emphasized that the initiative aligns with a comprehensive strategy to bolster economic and commercial activity in various regions of the emirate, particularly the central area. The plan integrates entertainment and cultural activities with marketing events to boost sales and increase foot traffic in local markets.
Gamal Saeed Bouzngal, the festival’s coordinator, noted the initiative’s success in attracting large numbers of visitors and highlighting the cultural heritage in an enjoyable and interactive way. Meanwhile, Aisha Saleh, Head of the Festivals and Events Department, reported significant success for the events, with over 10,000 visitors to the Al Dhaid Sharia Market and 5,000 to the Fily Heritage Market. More than 95% of the shops registered an increase in sales, and participant satisfaction with awards and accompanying events was notably high.
The initiative included a wide array of entertaining and educational activities, such as interactive competitions, daily quizzes, awareness and environmental workshops, along with entertainment programs during weekends. This comprehensive cultural and recreational approach transformed the event into an ideal platform for promoting local commerce and enhancing the tourist experience in Sharjah.
