The Federal Tax Authority has achieved the prestigious “Institutional Accreditation for Ethical Practices in Procurement and Supply” for the third consecutive time, awarded by the International Institute for Procurement and Supply, a leading global organization in developing procurement standards and practices.
This marks the first time a tax authority has received such accreditation globally, as it is now included in the Corporate Ethics Register, a global directory of ethical organizations.
The institutional accreditation is granted to organizations that uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights within their supply chains, contributing to enhanced governance, sustainable development, solidifying trust with partners, and improving corporate reputation.
Abdulaziz Mulla, the Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, stated that receiving this certification for the third time represents a significant achievement in their pursuit of organizational excellence and underscores their leadership in establishing a comprehensive system based on professional ethics, compliance, and sustainability.
He emphasized the authority’s commitment to continuously evolve its institutional environment to foster credibility, transparency, and integrity, aligning with the best governance practices and standards.
Mulla added that the certification recognizes the efforts of the procurement and contracts team at the authority, whose significant contributions over three consecutive terms reflect the commitment of employees to enhance the organization’s reputation both regionally and internationally. This achievement aligns with the authority’s strategy to implement global best practices and promote corporate social responsibility and transparency to benefit the state and society.
Jassim Haddad, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, remarked that the attainment of the certification for three consecutive terms reflects the authority’s dedication to evolving its procurement and supply practices, confirming its ongoing success in establishing an efficient governance framework based on the highest professional standards.
He noted that this accomplishment highlights the continuous efforts by the authority to enhance its policies and operational mechanisms in this field, promoting integrity and transparency, supporting their aspirations for institutional excellence, and solidifying their position as a leading entity in the tax sector.
Suleiman Abdullah, Director of Administrative Affairs at the authority, was recognized for obtaining the professional international accreditation at the Fellow level, acknowledging his effective contributions in developing the procurement and supply framework and efficiently enhancing the related procedures and operations. This accreditation is regarded as one of the highest professional certifications in this field.
Additionally, Maryam Saeed Al Ali was honored upon her graduation from the institutional vocational training program, which is designed to enhance professional competencies in procurement and supply according to the best international standards.
