The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in North Al Batinah Governorate, organized a seminar aimed at enhancing logistical collaboration between the business communities of Dubai and Oman. The event brought together over 360 representatives from the private sector.
The seminar featured the participation of Mohammed Ali Rashid Lutah, CEO of the Dubai Chambers, and Engineer Said bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in North Al Batinah. The discussions facilitated an open dialogue on emerging opportunities and strategies to improve joint efforts in developing effective solutions, enabling companies to navigate the new challenges impacting global supply chains, thereby fostering smoother inter-trade flows.
Attendees included officials from Sohar Port, the Oman Logistics Center, and the Sohar Logistics City, as well as representatives from the Royal Oman Police Customs Directorate. Various transportation and shipping companies operating in Oman joined representatives from several businesses in Dubai across a range of sectors.
This seminar is part of the Dubai Chambers’ broader initiative to strengthen inter-trade resilience with Oman. Earlier this month, a delegation from the chamber visited the city of Sohar in North Al Batinah, where they held a meeting with the Oman Chamber to enhance mechanisms for bilateral cooperation among business communities in Dubai and Sohar across multiple priority sectors, which will create quality opportunities for companies and boost trade exchange.
The delegation also toured Sohar Industrial Port and the Sohar Industrial City (Madayn), where they discussed improving the efficiency of goods and commodity flow and enhancing inter-supply chain capabilities. This collaboration aims to develop logistical integration between Dubai and Sohar, contributing to shared developmental goals.
These initiatives reflect the Dubai Chambers’ commitment to fostering economic and commercial cooperation between Dubai and other countries, while creating high-level cooperative paths and enhancing bilateral relations between the business community in Dubai and its counterparts in global markets. This effort supports strategic partnerships and sectoral integration, reinforcing the resilience of Dubai’s economy and the readiness and efficiency of the private sector to adapt to changes in the global economic landscape.
