Pahalgam Terror Attack: Indian Airlines To Add Extra Flights on April 23

Due to a recent terrorist incident in Kashmir, Air India and Indigo have declared the operation of special flights on April 23.

On Tuesday afternoon, armed assailants targeted tourists in Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of 26 individuals and injuring more than a dozen others. This attack occurred in Pahalgam and has drawn widespread international condemnation, with countries such as the UAE expressing strong disapproval of such violent acts.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi interrupted his trip to Saudi Arabia to return to India earlier than scheduled on Wednesday. Upon his arrival, he convened a meeting with senior security officials, as the nation embarks on a search for the perpetrators following one of the most deadly assaults in the region in recent times.

Passengers who booked flights before April 22 can benefit from extended flexibility for travel up to April 30, as stated by Indigo. The two special flights will operate to and from Srinagar on April 23, with one departing from Delhi and another from Mumbai.

Air India has also confirmed the addition of two flights on the same day:

To ensure accessibility, Air India has set fare limits on these routes, clarifying that any high prices displayed on booking platforms may be the result of multi-stop journeys or elevated cabin classes. Furthermore, the airline will provide free changes to itineraries and full refunds for cancellations for passengers with confirmed bookings for these flights until April 30. All other flights to and from Srinagar will proceed as planned.
