Collision Between Mini Bus and Indigo Plane at Bengaluru Airport

A minibus has collided with a stationary IndiGo aircraft at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, as confirmed by an airport official on April 20.

The vehicle, operated by a third-party ground service agency, made contact with the “undercarriage of the non-operational plane,” according to the airport spokesperson.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 PM on April 18, triggering immediate safety measures from airport authorities and collaboration with relevant parties.

“The safety and security of our passengers, airline partners, and airport staff is our utmost priority,” the spokesperson reiterated.

In response, IndiGo Airlines issued a statement acknowledging the incident.

“We are aware of the ground incident at Bengaluru airport involving a parked IndiGo aircraft and a third-party ground vehicle. The investigations are in progress, and all necessary actions will be taken as needed,” the airline declared.
