DUBAI, United Arab Emirates— As part of New Jersey’s economic mission to the Gulf Arab States, Choose New Jersey has recently enabled the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) involving Kean University and the University of Dubai, the American University in Dubai (AUD), along with the University of Wollongong in Dubai; along with Rowan University and the University of Ras Al Khaimah.
“The international academic collaborations enhance New Jersey’s educational framework,” stated Governor Phil Murphy. “Innovation is driven by research and development, and the partnerships formed between Kean, Rowan, and these prominent global institutions will provide advantages to both students and key industries across both regions. This collaboration not only prepares the future workforce of New Jersey but also fortifies our economy, ensuring the state remains a frontrunner in emerging sectors.”
Kean University has established MOUs with three institutions, fostering collaboration among research students and faculty in shared academic fields, which also includes possibilities for exchanges among faculty and students. The objective of these agreements is to open doors for undergraduate and graduate students to study, execute, and showcase research alongside their partner universities.

Beyond research and development, the MOU between Rowan University and the University of Ras Al Khaimah is aimed at enhancing cultural connections between New Jersey and the UAE, facilitated by student and faculty exchanges as well as collaborative educational programs.
