Enoc and Dubai Ports World Enhance Their Emergency Response Capabilities

The ENOC Group, a global integrated energy company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with DP World to enhance emergency and fire response capabilities across Dubai’s critical energy and logistics infrastructure. This collaboration focuses on joint training, readiness planning, and coordinated emergency response efforts.

The agreement was signed at ENOC’s headquarters in Dubai by Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group, and Abdullah Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World, GCC.

During the signing, Saif Humaid Al Falasi remarked, “This memorandum represents a significant advancement in our commitment to the highest safety standards and ensures our complete readiness to tackle emergencies. We take pride in our partnership with DP World, which shares our core values in enhancing operational safety and resilience across all our sectors. We are confident that this collaboration will bolster our capabilities to confront unforeseen challenges and ensure the safety of our employees, assets, and the wider community.”

Abdullah Bin Damithan stated, “Safety is central to our values at DP World, underpinning all our operations. This agreement highlights our joint commitment to providing a secure environment for our employees, assets, and operations. By partnering with ENOC, we strengthen our emergency response capabilities and enhance the resilience and safety of our infrastructure to support regional trade.”

The memorandum outlines the organization of an annual joint exercise aimed at improving training, readiness, and response speed, led by the emergency teams from both ENOC and DP World. It also specifies the mechanisms for regularly updating emergency response plans and a joint protocol for engaging external parties to ensure swift and coordinated actions.

ENOC Group reaffirms its strong commitment to meeting the highest safety and emergency preparedness standards. In 2022, the group opened its first-of-its-kind emergency response center in Jebel Ali in partnership with Dubai Civil Defense. Recently, members of the emergency response center completed specialized training in firefighting at an international training center in the UK, enabling them to enhance their skills in assessing risks associated with hazardous materials and fires. This advanced training equips firefighters with the necessary skills to conduct complex rescue operations, respond to hazardous material incidents in the high-risk oil and gas sector, and perform comprehensive assessments.
