The flower market in the UAE is experiencing remarkable growth, with the cut flower sector projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 13.7% through 2028. As demand surges in the hospitality, luxury retail, and special events sectors, the “My Plant and Garden Middle East” exhibition is set to become the premier event for flowers and horticulture in the region. This exhibition will take place for the first time from November 15 to 17, 2025, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo Dubai.
With Dubai establishing itself as a leading destination for luxury weddings and global events, the UAE is emerging as a key player in the ornamental plants and flowers market. In 2023, flower imports exceeded $70 million, underscoring the increasing demand from corporate buyers, event planners, and retailers. Government support continues to boost this sector, particularly in terms of strategic infrastructure, such as the Dubai Flower Centre, which handles over 150,000 tons of flower shipments annually.
Domestic production is expanding at an unprecedented rate, with UAE farmers increasingly focusing on cultivating roses, while demand grows for long-lasting varieties such as lilies, gerberas, and chrysanthemums. With expectations of attracting over 20 million tourists annually and a $70 billion growth in regional events, the UAE presents extensive opportunities for global suppliers looking to expand in one of the world’s most vibrant and promising markets.
The “My Plant and Garden Middle East” exhibition aims to bring together leaders in the flower cultivation and horticulture sectors, providing a platform for them to strengthen their market presence, build business relationships, and enhance their presence in the rapidly growing green economy. The event will feature a range of experts showcasing a diverse array of products, from fresh flowers and ornamental plants to plant care systems, greenhouse technology, floral design, and retail innovations. This exhibition serves as a vital networking platform for stakeholders in hospitality, retail, events, real estate, and government sectors.
Valeria Randazzo, the exhibition director at My Plant and Garden Middle East, stated, “The UAE is rapidly evolving into one of the leading economies in the flower sector globally. It is not just about aesthetics; it encompasses operations, supply chains, and market access. This exhibition’s role is to connect global suppliers with buyers in the region during a time when the market is poised for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth. We invite flower sellers, nurseries, farmers, wholesalers, and suppliers to be part of the most dynamic business platform in the region, dedicated to plants and flowers, outdoor space design, and living in open spaces.”
Following its success in Milan, which attracted over 810 exhibitors and 27,000 visitors from 40 countries, the “My Plant and Garden” exhibition is set to host its inaugural event in the Middle East.
The 2025 event will connect international exhibitors with key buyers across various sectors, including hospitality, retail, urban development, and government procurement, thereby fostering business, partnerships, and innovation within the growing green economy in the region.
