Ethiopian Airlines Launches Its Inaugural Flight to Abu Dhabi

Ethiopian Airlines has celebrated the launch of its inaugural flight to Abu Dhabi with a special event held in the city.

This significant occasion was attended by high-ranking executives from Ethiopian Airlines, including the Group CEO and Chairman, along with top officials and the CEO of Etihad Airways.

The event highlighted Ethiopian Airlines’ growing expansion in the Middle East and the vital role of this new route in strengthening business, tourism, and cultural ties between Ethiopia and the UAE.

During the celebration, Suleiman Begashaw, Regional Director for the UAE, stated, “The initiation of our flight to Abu Dhabi marks a pivotal step in enhancing our presence in the region. This new route not only extends our award-winning services to a new destination but also offers greater convenience for our passengers traveling between Africa and the United Arab Emirates.”

The inaugural flight to Abu Dhabi is part of Ethiopian Airlines’ broader strategy to expand its global network and solidify its status as a leading international carrier. This new route reflects the airline’s commitment to connecting people, markets, and cultures while supporting economic growth.
