Adex Explores Ways to Strengthen Its Strategic Partnership with Edge

As part of the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX) to strengthen partnerships with leading national companies, a delegation from the office visited the EDGE Group to discuss ways to enhance their strategic collaboration. This initiative aims to support national goals that contribute to the development of the local economy and establish the UAE as a global hub for advanced industries and technological innovation.

The delegation was led by Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Exports Office, accompanied by Khalil Al Mansouri, Executive Director of ADEX. They were received by H.E. Faisal Al-Bannai, Advisor to the President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, and Chairman of EDGE Group.

During the visit, the ADEX delegation presented an overview of key services and financial solutions available to support national exports. They also discussed possible collaboration mechanisms to enhance the capabilities of EDGE Group and its subsidiaries, enabling them to expand internationally and access new markets across various continents.

Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi emphasized that Emirati companies have achieved significant milestones across various vital sectors, noting that EDGE Group serves as a benchmark in military industries and advanced technology.

He stated, “We appreciate the exceptional achievements of the group and its associated companies in developing innovative solutions that enhance the UAE’s position as a global industrial hub. ADEX’s role in this context is to maximize the competitive advantages it provides for business growth across all sectors, enabling companies to expand internationally and contribute to increasing national exports. We also support EDGE’s efforts to lead in the defense and security sector and to strengthen the state’s strategic goals towards economic diversification.”

Factory Visits

On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation toured the facilities of EDGE Group to observe its manufacturing and technical capabilities. The tour began at the Nimr factory, renowned for designing and manufacturing light and medium military vehicles, both armored and non-armored. The delegation learned about the advanced capabilities in producing vehicles and systems that support defense operations. They then proceeded to the Adasi factory, which specializes in the development, operation, and maintenance of unmanned systems for air, land, and sea, alongside manufacturing drones equipped with artificial intelligence technologies and their maintenance and technical support services. The tour concluded at the Halcon factory, focusing on the integrated manufacturing of precision-guided munitions, missiles, and advanced defense systems, where the delegation was briefed on the company’s capabilities in developing and producing modern weapon systems, as well as innovative technologies used in production lines.

This visit aligns with ADEX’s strategic objectives to enable and support national industries, expand their growth possibilities, and enhance their global competitiveness. Both parties underscored the importance of promoting participation and sharing expertise and knowledge with leading Emirati institutions, focusing on their role in driving economic growth and diversification to support national exports and solidify the industrial sector’s contribution to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
