Abu Dhabi Islamic Marks Graduation of the First Cohort from the Leadership Development Program

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has announced the graduation of the inaugural cohort from its leadership development program, “High-Flyer.” This initiative aligns with the bank’s strategic commitment to cultivating internal leadership talent and enhancing their capabilities for future senior roles. The graduation ceremony was attended by Jawaan Oweidha Al Khaili, the bank’s chairman, alongside board members, the group CEO, and key executives.

The program, launched in collaboration with Afaq Leadership Development, commenced in September 2024 and spanned six months, targeting high-performing employees across various business units. It combined executive mentoring, interdisciplinary training, and the execution of innovative strategic projects.

Key topics covered included change management, high-performance teamwork, customer-centric leadership, effective communication, and institutional performance measurement, with a focus on developing banking leaders equipped with forward-thinking skills. Mohammed Abdubari, the group CEO of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, stated, “We initiated this program as part of our long-term vision to prepare the future leaders of the banking sector, reflecting our commitment to sustainable human capital development.”
