Adnoc Introduces “Make it with Adnoc” App to Enhance Local Manufacturing and Industrial Development

On Tuesday, Adnoc unveiled “Make it with Adnoc,” an innovative mobile application designed to enhance local manufacturing and accelerate the growth of the industrial sector in the UAE.

This app, which supports the Make it in the Emirates initiative, provides real-time insights into the products that Adnoc is looking to purchase. It will enable manufacturers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and entrepreneurs to effectively seize long-term local manufacturing opportunities.

The app aims to facilitate better engagement between businesses and Adnoc, improve transparency throughout the procurement process, minimize investment risks, and ease the onboarding of suppliers.

Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, Executive Director of People, Commercial & Corporate Support at Adnoc, stated: “We are excited to introduce the Make it with Adnoc mobile app, which will offer businesses real-time information on the products we intend to buy while streamlining the process for them to tap into the substantial local manufacturing opportunities we are fostering. As a pivotal part of the Make it in the Emirates initiative, Adnoc is committed to promoting innovative solutions to bolster local manufacturing and enhance the resilience of the UAE’s industrial foundation. We invite both new and established businesses to utilize the Make it with Adnoc app to connect with us and discover shared value.”

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), remarked: “Working in tandem with key partners, MoIAT is persistent in advancing the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, Operation 300bn, to bolster the competitiveness of the UAE’s industrial sector. The Make it with Adnoc app serves as a vital tool for the national industrial sector, complementing the Make it in the Emirates initiative. This strategic partnership with Adnoc has identified products for local manufacturing and will provide manufacturers and investors with timely insights into opportunities within Adnoc’s value chain. Consequently, businesses will be better equipped to identify products that can be manufactured in accordance with Adnoc’s purchasing needs. This will empower them to make informed investment decisions, enhance supply chain resilience and sustainability, support national self-sufficiency, and contribute to the goals of the National In-Country Value (ICV) Program by encouraging local manufacturing and fostering long-term industrial collaborations.”

Al Suwaidi urged manufacturers, investors, and suppliers to take part in the upcoming Make it in the Emirates event, scheduled for May 19-22 at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, where over 500 companies are expected to explore new investment opportunities and learn about incentives provided by government bodies, national champions, financial institutions, and technology providers.

“This year’s event will unveil remarkable opportunities,” HE Al Suwaidi added, “including new procurement agreements across 12 strategic sectors and thousands of products earmarked for local manufacturing, thereby further solidifying the UAE’s status as a global center for industrial innovation and sustainable development.”

Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, emphasized: “The introduction of the ‘Make it with Adnoc’ app aligns strategically with the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS) and the overall vision of Abu Dhabi’s Falcon Economy, which is characterized by resilience, innovation, and international competitiveness. This application bolsters ADIS by enhancing local supply chains, promoting smarter industrial investments, and encouraging stronger private sector involvement in key manufacturing areas. By increasing transparency and providing easier access to Adnoc’s procurement processes, it empowers businesses to align with national priorities and invest confidently in the UAE’s industrial landscape, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s role as a prominent economic and industrial hub in the region.”

Badr Al-Olama, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), noted: “The launch of the ‘Make it with Adnoc’ app significantly strengthens Abu Dhabi’s stature as a global center for advanced industries and innovative investments. By providing streamlined access to local manufacturing opportunities, we enhance the competitiveness of our industrial ecosystem, creating a more appealing environment for investors. This initiative supports ADIO’s mission to empower investors, foster industrial innovation, and unlock significant opportunities across key sectors, starting with industry.”

Shamis Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated: “The launch of the ‘Make it with Adnoc’ app represents a significant advancement in enhancing the UAE’s industrial capacity. By providing real-time access to procurement opportunities, Adnoc is promoting a more transparent, progressive, and collaborative environment that enables local manufacturers and SMEs to grow and innovate. As a longstanding ally in supporting private sector development, the Abu Dhabi Chamber is supportive of this bold initiative, which aligns with our national vision for industrial self-sufficiency and economic diversification, thereby strengthening our industrial foundation and advancing sustainable economic progress.”

The introduction of this app precedes the Make it in the Emirates forum, which will be hosted from May 19-22 in Abu Dhabi. This initiative builds on the successes of Adnoc’s ICV program, which has infused Dh242 billion ($65.9 billion) back into the UAE economy and facilitated the employment of 17,000 Emiratis in the private sector since 2018.

Through its ICV program, Adnoc aims to inject Dh200 billion ($54.5 billion) into the UAE’s economy in the next five years.
