Emirates Glass Signs Five-Year Agreement with Clearview Technologies
Emirates Glass, fully owned by Dubai Investments, has announced a five-year agreement with Australia’s Clearview Technologies. This partnership aims to bring advanced solar glass technologies and solutions to the markets of the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Production Initiates This Year
Production is set to commence later this year, with Emirates Glass tasked with manufacturing solar-integrated glass developed by Clearview. This next-generation technology enables glass to generate electricity from sunlight while ensuring high thermal efficiency and clarity.
Exclusive Distribution Rights in the Region
Under the agreement, Emirates Glass will also hold non-exclusive distribution rights for these innovations in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council, addressing the growing demand for sustainable building materials in sunny environments.
Increasing Demand for Renewable Energy Solutions
This collaboration highlights the rising interest in renewable energy solutions integrated into building materials. The solar glass technologies and facades are designed to suit commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. They can be utilized in glass facades, roofing, windows, awnings, and even agricultural greenhouses, offering a blend of operational efficiency, energy savings, and design flexibility.
Enhanced Renewable Energy Production
Clearview’s integrated solar facades will boost renewable energy generation at construction sites, helping to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources while improving natural lighting and climate control within buildings, making it an ideal solution for countries like the UAE.
