Ai-Ai delas Alas opens up about her breakup with Jed Salang

The Filipino box office queen has finally admitted that her husband beat her and had an affair with another woman while they were together, as she thanked her fans and friends for their support and her son warned his stepfather to stay away, reported by ABS-CBN. Ai-Ai delas Alas, a Filipino box office queen, comedian, actress and singer, also said she realized that Jed Salang, 20 years her junior, whom she married in a civil ceremony in Las Vegas last month, doesn’t love her at all.

She confessed on a TV show about the times he pushed her out of bed and dragged her out of their bedroom, telling her they had to stay at a hotel and resort in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, so he could gamble in casinos all day. Ai-Ai De Las Alas’ 29-day marriage to Jed Salang has broken Kim Kardashian’s 72-day marriage record to Kris Humphries. However, Sancho, De las Alas’ son from a previous relationship, took to social media to warn Salang not to show his face around him, his siblings and his mother. But not before thanking his mother’s fans and friends for their support.

Ai-Ai de las Alas took to Twitter

“Jed Salang is now ‘Unlucky Not Found’ on Instagram,” Sancho wrote on May 20. Radio and TV reporters, meanwhile, were unable to reach Salang for his side of the story after he and his 48-year-old wife called it quits about eight months before their planned December 8 wedding in the Philippines. Last Sunday, De las Alas told Boy Abunda, host of “The Buzz,” a weekly entertainment show on ABS-CBN, that she is glad that her nightmare is over after more than a month of marriage and about 18 months together. She said she had been in denial for a while about what Salang did to her because of her love for him and despite the fact that there was another woman in his life while they were together. She also thought their marriage would turn over a new leaf for him. She took to Twitter to express her gratitude to her fans and friends in showbiz who prayed for her and showered her with gifts and flowers. ABS-CBN President Charo Santos, a former acclaimed actress and Baron Travel Girl of 1976, sent her a bouquet of flowers, while Willie Rewilliam, host of TV5’s noontime show “Wowowillie,” gifted her a Louis Vuitton bag. “Good morning… I was so happy when I woke up this morning… here’s Willie Rewilliam, my guest… You are a true friend. Thank you for the LV bag,” she tweeted on May 20.

Philippinas Got Talent

She also tweeted, “Thank you Lord. And to all Filipinos here, in the country and all parts of the world, thank you for your prayers, support and love. May God bless you all.” On Sunday, she attended the telecast of “Philippines Got Talent,” an ABS-CBN show based on the “Got Talent” franchise conceived by Simon Cowell, and immediately went to the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Award Ceremony.

Showbiz insiders described how De Las Alas is doing well as she has moved on with her life and work and refused to sulk in the corner after what she went through with Salang. De las Alas has starred in several films, including blockbuster hits, two of which are “Ang Tanging Ina” (The Ultimate Mother) and “Sisterakas”, a pun on the phrase “sister act”, in which she stars with President Kris Aquino’s sister. She also released her first album with Star Records titled “Ang Tanging Ina N’yo” (Your Ultimate Mother), which contains six new tunes.
