Ajman Finance Organizes Workshop on Financial Planning and Budget Preparation Procedures

The Department of Finance in Ajman recently organized a workshop titled “Financial Circulars and Procedures for Preparing the Financial Plan and General Budget.” The event targeted budget preparation officials, human resources personnel, project management representatives, and technical requirements staff from various government entities within the emirate.

The main goal of the workshop was to empower government financial teams to develop proactive plans that align with the ambitious vision of Ajman, ensuring optimal resource utilization and establishing the foundations for long-term financial sustainability.

The workshop focused on three key areas, with particular emphasis on the “Program and Performance Budgeting” aspect, which has been a cornerstone in managing financial resources. This approach, adopted by the emirate for nearly 17 years, demonstrates the maturity of institutional methodology and its effectiveness in achieving efficiency by linking budgets with strategic objectives. The workshop also reviewed the significant updates that this system has undergone since its launch in 2009.
