Al-Dar Acquires Logistics Assets from Al-Waha Capital for 530 Million Dirhams

The Aldar Group has announced its acquisition of a portfolio of high-quality logistics assets from Wahah Capital for a total of 530 million dirhams.

This deal includes warehouses and specialized properties that cater to the light industry sectors, all situated within the Al Markaz industrial complex, which is one of the prominent integrated projects in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi. This acquisition adds a total leasable area of 182,500 square meters of income-generating logistics assets to Aldar Investment’s portfolio.

The acquired properties, which are available under freehold ownership, are located within the Al Markaz industrial complex, spanning an area of 6 million square meters, and have been developed by Wahah Land, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wahah Capital.

Al Markaz is classified as one of the special economic zones in the UAE, providing its tenants with numerous advantages and facilities. With additional development potential within this complex, this transaction opens up promising opportunities for both Aldar and Wahah Capital to explore future collaboration.

Al Markaz is distinguished by its advanced infrastructure, benefiting from the rapid demand for logistics space driven by several key factors, including the thriving regional trade, the steady growth in the e-commerce sector, and the continual increase in population.

The logistics assets acquired by Aldar are noted for their flexible architectural design.
